Silk Pillow

The front of this pillow is pieced with two different colors of silk. They are seprated with a small 1/8" welting in a third color that is also used for the ruffle. This ruffle is what I refer to as the "messy ruffle", meaning that it is has a messy look to it. See close up picture below.

Messy ruffle and small welting......

The back of the pillow is made from a colorful matlesse. Making it very easy to get double use out of this pillow.

Boxed Pillows

Here are a few boxed pillows that I have made. Boxed pillows can have a more "structured" look with a foam insert wrapped in batting. These pillows have a "softer" look, they were made with a feather inserts. They can also be made with a soft poly insert.

Floral Pieced Pillow

This is the cutest little pillow. It measures 12" x 12" and has a soft white Matlesse on the back. I think the rick rack adds a fun element don't you? :)

Flip Flop Bolster

Flip Flops are all the rage right now. I found this fabric and thought it was so cute. I matched it with a pink on pink ticking. Nedless to say, it didn't sit very long on the shelf before someone snatched it up. :)

Christmas Pillows

Here are a few more Christmas pillows that I made a couple of weeks ago.

I love that the fabrics on the back are so nice that you can flip them over, after the holiday, and get a different look!

Table Runner

I made this pieced table runner for a client. She gave me a small piece of fabric and fringe that was left over from her window treatment. I found a couple of fabrics and trims that coordinated and this is what I came up with.

I designed it so that it has two sides. She can flip it over for a different look.

What do you think?

VINTAGE.......

The front panel is part of a vintage tablecloth. It has a 2" band of a red and pink check fabric all the way around and a 1 1/2" ruffle from the same fabric. I used a small green fabric welt to add interest and sperate the body of the pillow and the ruffle. The back is a piece of green, pink and red chinesse toile.

I love doing the back of pillows in different fabrics. It makes it so easy to change your look just by flipping the pillow.
