VINTAGE.......

The front panel is part of a vintage tablecloth. It has a 2" band of a red and pink check fabric all the way around and a 1 1/2" ruffle from the same fabric. I used a small green fabric welt to add interest and sperate the body of the pillow and the ruffle. The back is a piece of green, pink and red chinesse toile.

I love doing the back of pillows in different fabrics. It makes it so easy to change your look just by flipping the pillow.

Another Vintage Tablecloth

I banded the edge of this vintage cloth with a 1" wide black and white check, cut on the diagonal, and a 5" wide piece of a deep red fabric. I love the way it turned out, in fact I liked it so much I decided to keep it for myself. Besides the fact that it looks as though it was made for my kitchen!

Vintage Tablecloths

I love them.... everything about them. I love the designs, the colors, the feel of the fabric and especially the history. I like to think about who original purchased it. Did they rush home and put it on their table or did they save it for a special occasion? What did types of food did they feed their family, was it a big family or small? Did they sit down every night and have dinner together? I love that each tablecloth has it own unique story.

I made this tablecloth into a baby quilt. It is banded and backed with a brightly colored flannel and tufted with yellow yarn.

I love it!
